CAMPAIGN SUMMARY

The Muncie Children’s Museum Management Team, Board of Directors and Advisory Board have unanimously agreed to initiate the  More To Explore Capital Campaign with a goal of raising $3 million. Funds will allow us to provide education-rich opportunities to children in the Muncie community and beyond and will be invested in:

  • Expansion of Discovery Park
  • Relocation and rebuild of the model train exhibit
  • Creation of a hands-on construction zone exhibit
  • Upgrades to MCM facilities and operations
  • Additional funding for the MCM Endowment

The purpose of the More To Explore Capital Campaign is to create intentionally designed spaces for children, ten and under, that combine fun with skill development focused on strengthening:

  • Collaboration
  • Communication
  • Critical Thinking
  • Motor Skills
  • Problem Solving

The enhancement of these skills will help children thrive in school and build a foundation for a successful career in any field.

To better understand the level of potential support for a capital campaign, we engaged Whitinger Strategic Services in 2019 to conduct a feasibility study, testing the proposed plans with potential campaign supporters and friends. The outcome of the feasibility study was overwhelmingly positive, and the feedback will help guide the decision-making process in terms of campaign planning and implementation.
